Summary/Abstract: EU law plays a specific role in the legal system of the EU Member States. Its creation and enforcement is the result of many compromises achieved at translation level. Owing to the fact that the Constitution of the Republic of Poland stipulates the possibility of delegating some of the competences to the international body, EU law may be applicable in Poland. The European Court of Justice and its case law has a great impact on the way of implementation, enforcement and interpretation of the EU law. In Poland, the Polish Constitutional Court has a similar impact, however, the said court is in favor of the principle of supremacy of the Constitution.
