Barriers in obtaining external funding to the realization of innovative projects in companies

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to identify barriers in the scope of financing innovative investments. The research shows a lot of restrictions attributable to the financial institutions which are mainly the result of the lack of understanding of the character of projects and too difficult formal application forms concerning the security of the transaction. There are also restrictions attributable to the economic entities which have t low level of knowledge referring to alternative sources of financing and are not properly prepared for the implementation of modern solutions.
