Summary/Abstract: This paper is concerned with the establishment and operation of the Self-governing community of interest for the living standards of school children and students of the municipality of Osijek from 1975 to 1979. The objective of this paper is to describe the business affairs of the SIZ ("Samopupravna interesna zajednica", Self-governing Community of interest) and to assess the performance of its activities based on archival sources.
