Forecasting financial problems of companies based on Hellwig measurement of development

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the warning forecast is to signal “early enough” unfavourable changes in selected business activity areas, described by time series. Warning forecast is, by nature, a long-term forecast; its characteristic feature is the fact that it does not give values of forecasted variables but only warning against the possibility of unfavourable changes occurrence. In the paper the use of Hellwig measurement of development is presented, which seems to be an interesting and effective proposition for forecasting financial difficulties.
