Summary/Abstract: Over centuries the greatest battles were fought for territories. However, with technological advances, the territories are becoming less important and the Internet dominance is becoming more and more desirable. As a matter of fact, territories are easily dominated through the World Wide Web as the speed of information exchange is crucial for business positioning, on which we shall stay focused in this paper. This is especially true in the field of gaming. The Internet, as a global medium has definitely prevailed in this filed and the governments are in the position to seek solutions how to protect their national interests and fight against the growing grey market. Ignoring of this problem will only make it bigger because what we can do today we shall not be able to do tomorrow. The galloping technological innovations would soon overtake us. With the development of the Internet, the offer of online games of chance is growing too. Any prohibition of certain websites offering online games of chance is only a temporary solution as it is virtually impossible to erase innumerable websites existing on the Web. This is where we come across the key issue that shakes state governments in this field and this issue is: how to protect national interests and how to fight the grey market of online gaming?
