Summary/Abstract: The Pastoral of Dependent Persons. The Phenomenon of Alcoholism from a Theological Perspective. The pastoral of addicted persons of alcoholic products and ethnobotanical one, impose more stringent in the parish area, concern has been and remains among the priest's pastoral activities. The mission of priest is to intervene by the Gospel word and personal example, to combat the passions of our age. Holy Scriptures command is categorical, because drunkenness leads to poverty, strife, corruption, injustice, cruelty and contempt for things of God (Ephes 5:18). One way to prevent alcoholism is temperance. Abstinence from alcohol consumption especially in Lents is a spiritual advice and encouragement taught by priests. Alcohol creates state of drunkenness or bodily satisfactions of the moment of refuge, easy and subtle, in a state of euphoria, the liberation from suffering and the daily hardships - and ultimately consumers often lose their souls the divine consciousness and become dependent on a life that will eventually destroy. Correction of Christians with addiction and recovery comes from the Church (the parish priest, parish council and committee) in partnership with medical factors, cultural and social, both specialists and laymen.
