Summary/Abstract: Gawrzyjałki is a small settlement in Szczytno district, founded in 1788. Before obtaining a status of a Lutheran parish in 1895, it was a part of the parish in Jerutki and Księży Lasek. A church and a parish house, built in 1907-1908, served the Lutheran faithful until 1981. In the 1970s and 1980s, the Roman Catholics were forwarding claims to the empty church. In 1982 Gawrzyjałki became a Roman Catholic parish. The first parish priest was Fr Mieczysław Rurka, who added to it an outstation in Olszyny.
