Summary/Abstract: The article presents the methodological aspects of the application of credit scoring methods to assess the creditworthiness for individual customers with the use of quantitative methods. Based on the available credit data, the so-called German Credit Data (GCD), there were shown the examples of the main stages of the scoring system development: the design phase and implementation phase, together with the validation phase and the phase of monitoring of its stability. For the purpose of the analyses and in order to automate calculations there were developed computer software programs (modules written in Statistica Visual Basic) which can be used in practice of the scoring models application.
