THE GEOGRAPHICAL INSTITUTE "JOVAN CVIJIC" OF THE SERBIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND ARTS - MUTUALLY UNUSED POSSIBILITIES FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF ESTABLISHED RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

Summary/Abstract: It’s difficult to define future, whether it concerns an aim, trend, or inevitability. That is a case with not only philosophic but also trivial questions, beginning with absolute truth – does everything with beginning must have its end too, or maybe every ending including jubilee anniversary, means a new beginning as well. Indeed, there is a lot of controversies and contrariety in material and non material world, and even more between them.Celebrating 60 years of Geographical institute “Jovan Cvijic”, there is a wish for it to be a place of gathering and a center of ideas. A goal that needs to be reached not in decade but in year or two.Institute must have ambition to be a hinge of unique geographical science, which is important not only to Institute but to SASA and Republic of Serbia as well. I am personally convinced that we could get comprehension and support in realization of our ideas.
