Illegal immigration threat on the Polish section of European Union’s external border

Summary/Abstract: In the time of current discussion on illegal immigration in Europe, it is important to present the scale and dynamics of this phenomenon in Poland in the period of last five years. The article first presents the situation at European Union’s external borders based on data provided by Frontex. The main analysed issue is the illegal border crossing at the Polish section of the external EU border. The phenomenon is presented on the base of data provided by the Polish Border Guard mostly concerning the numbers of illegal border crossing and refusal of entry into the Polish territory.
