Summary/Abstract: The subject of our considerations will be conceptions of criminalization of poverty as a result of spiral of strengthening the deviancy through moral panic. Despite of decrease of interest in the phenomenon of strengthening the deviancy researchers of criminality still refer to the conceptions of deviancy such as Stanley Cohen’s and Jock Young’s conception of moral panic, which examines social pathologies and analyzes social stigmatization of outsiders.
