Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the early ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche on truth, society and language. The development of language and consciousness go hand in hand. Conscious thinking is done in words. Communication, being both verbal and nonverbal, serves as a bridge between man and man. The awareness of our sense impressions and the giving of names to them arise from the necessity to share our individual perceptions and desires with other people. The origin of truth is in close relations with the origin of language and knowledge. According to Nietzsche truth is crafted in our communications with one another and is rhetorical.
