Summary/Abstract: German minority which was living in Poland was protected by both National and international law. The German minority organizations were taking actions against Poland, especially in the Up-per Silesia region. The Polish government policy towardsthe German minority has not been con-sequent. Silesian Voivod Michał Grażyński was actively fighting against German minoritiesac-tions in the Silesian Voivodeship. He was trying tospeed-up the re-polonization of the Upper Sile-sia region. Hitlers rise to power in 1933 caused an increase in the revisionist tendencies. The German minority was hoping that the law status of Upper Silesiawould change. Signing of the polish-german declaration did not change Grażyński attitude towards the German minority. His actions were a subject of constant criticism from the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Józef Beck. Very often Beck would make GraĪyĔski know that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not approve fighting against Hitler’s forces in Silesian Voivodeship. The Ministry’s policy of not disturbing the Polish-German relations seriously restricted his actions.
