Summary/Abstract: The book Practical Methods in Digital Archiving of Rare Books – Examples from the HUMI Project was first published by Keio University in Japan (Keio Gijuku Daigaku) in 2010 and received a second edition a year later. The author, Masaaki Kashimura1, involved in the HUMI project, explores the subject of the creation of digital archives of rare world heritage books and the further managing of the images obtained.
