Summary/Abstract: The perceptions about human relationships of children, growing up away from their parents for long periods of time, are clearly expressed in their interactions and behavior during their leisure time. The quality of the leisure time provided at the social homes and services for children is a guarantee for adequate care, it's a preventive mechanism, which compensates the period of separation and secures children’ social inclusion. Leisure time is a precondition for maximum development of children at risk but only if their full participation in taking decisions, in the process of out-of-home care, is absolutely guaranteed.
