Summary/Abstract: In online social networks people have fun, communicate with friends and create new contacts. In this sense they are "network communities". They are both spatially constructed by network technology and imagined collective that emerges as a result of the intersection of people, technology, and practice. Online users can share information or give no in a biased manner due to social reasons. They are aware of the impressions which they form and carefully consider their actions to attract other users. The report presents data from qualitative research (depth interviews) among students. The aim was to determine the influence of peers/"friends" on users self-presentation in online social networking while pursuing relationships.
