Summary/Abstract: The Internet of Things is the one of the most important trends that have the potential to influence the life of every human being and functioning of the business in the coming years. The efficient infrastructure is needed to handle very large number of Internet of Things devices and data which are generated by them. Therefore, the Internet of Things requires the support of cloud computing with its performance and scalability. However, the cloud has a number of drawbacks. The most important are the limited bandwidth, lack of mobility, streaming and wireless access, which are vital from the point of view of the Internet of Things. The answer to these challenges is the concept of fog computing, which allows for the processing and management of data locally without having to communicate with a remotedata center. This concept is a new paradigm of supporting the transmission, collection and data analysis from distributed devices of the Internet of Things.
