Leszek Kołakowski’s view of God and Church

Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to present in detail personal faith of a distinguished Polish philosopher Leszek Kołakowski. The analyzed sources from the end of his life introduce philosopher’s attitudeto the Church, to the Vatican Council reform and to John Paul II. The conclusions let us call him a representative of Catholic irreligious Christianity. Precise identification of Leszek Kołakowski’s faith remains an open issue.
