Summary/Abstract: The economy of Bulgaria functions on the principles of the free market, having a large private sector and a smaller public one. Bulgaria is an industrialized upper-middle-income country according to the World Bank. We can make a point of last decade of Bulgarians development. Bulgaria has been one of the fastest growing Eastern European economies. It is a member of the European Union since 2007.
