On the Question of Orthodox Translations of Bible into Polish

Linguistic Aspects

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to some lexical and syntactical problems of the Polish translation of the Psalter by the Orthodox priest Henryk Paprocki and it shows the strategies used in the translation. Particular attention is paid to the lexical layer and some specific stylistic exponents. Examples from the translation are compared with Church Slavonic and selected Polish (Catholic and Protestant) translations of the Bible.
