Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to reveal the specifics of the choral art of dramatization the example of the academic choir «Khreshchatyk», namely the project «Necklace of Red Songs». Methodology. Used comparative method. Specific characteristics of the theme makes reference to the pop method that allows to analyze the use of folklore in the genre of folk song treatment. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty consists in considering aspects of choral dramatization by the example of the «Necklace of Red Songs» of Choir «Khreshchatyk». It is proved that theatricality appears as a kind of revival of syncretic action, which was an inevitable condition of existence of folklore. However, the using of dance and drama elements contributes to a better disclosure of the psychological aspects associated with the text of a musical composition. Conclusions. Contemporary choral music searches new possibilities of development of creative potential of performing groups. The invention is related to unconventional approaches to the treatment of national traditions and internal renewal of the musical material, which contributes to promoting the activities of choirs, their promotion in the market conditions and the level of qualitative growth of artists.
