Summary/Abstract: The purposes of the study are to highlight the upgrading conceptual basis of national opera performance of the period of the sixties and to analyze D. Gnatiuk’s creativity. In the model of the coordinates, the author distinguishes the mechanisms of working at opera roles, principles of solution stage performing tasks in the context of interpretation. Methodology. The research methodology consists of historical and culturological methods, which allow us to analyze the formation of a creative personality in the context of socio-cultural dynamics of Ukraine. The proposed interdisciplinary approach creates optimal conditions for studying the nature of the national opera in the projection on D. Gnatiuk’s artistic development. Scientific Novelty. Scientific novelty is to expand the ideas about forming the opera genre in the coordinates of the national cultural space and consolidate its status in the international art communications of the twentieth century. Conclusions. The research of D. Gnatiuk creative way in the context of socio-cultural dynamics of the 1960s, encourages us rethinking permanent artistic progress of national opera performance, filling its gaps and unknown aspects. The figure D. Gnatiuk is considered in the artistic progress as well as in opera space. Moreover, he is analyzed in the coordinates of his social activities, national cinema, pop practice. He formed the national identity and consolidation at the Ukrainian, European and global levels.
