Ossyan's theme in French painting and landscape art of the XIX century

Summary/Abstract: The main purpose is researching of the Romanticism area, analysis of Romanticism creative program and identify the main features of romantic art. Considering the problem of identity and connection between literature and art in the Romantic period. The article examines the role of literature in landscape park of that era. Methodology. The research methodology consists of the historical-cultural comparative method and the method of formal analysis. This methodological approach allows to reveal and to analyze works of great masters of the Romantic era. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of this research is to extend the idea of the significance of Romanticism art in XIX century. The author tries to examine the relationship between literature and art in the works of the Romantic artists. Conclusions. Understanding the regularities of Romanticism progresses in European art allows the author to state that the interrelation of various kinds of art is the exclusive phenomenon of the era. This epoch united the artists with a specific reflection the reality.
