Summary/Abstract: This paper addresses the issue of statistical modeling of customer loyalty in automobile insurance, primarily voluntary motor own damage (MOD) insurance. The paper presents the results of the research study conducted on the basis of the data from the Polish Insurance Guarantee Fund. The main goal of the study was to identify key factors influencing the customer's decisions regarding MOD insurance − renewing the policy or switching to another insurer. This goal was achieved with the use of descriptive statistics, analysis of correlation and generalized linear models. The results obtained for MOD insurance were compared with those for MTPL to gain a broader picture of customer loyalty in Polish motor insurance market.
