Changes in Population Age Structure in Negotin Municipality

Summary/Abstract: Research results presented in this article refer to the changes in demographic age in the municipality of Negotin, very specific area in the northeast Serbia. Population ageing is one of the most dramatic demographic processes. All components of population dynamics (fertility, mortality, migrations) affect the age-gender structure that in turn affects the population. Age structure of population expresses demographic development of researched population during a longer period. With its synthetic character, population ageing represents the basis for all other demographic researches.
