Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze the position of the Hungarian Party to the Romania’s Hungarian peasantry. I intend to analyze the party elite position on this issue and the importance the Hungarian peasants represented to this political elite. I will analyze then the election campaign made by the Hungarian Party in the rural areas, approached methods to the peasantry by the candidates and the effectiveness of this election campaign. I will also analyze the position of the Hungarian peasantry to the Hungarian Party (sympathy for the Hungarian Party or to other political parties) and its participation in the inter-war elections.
