Summary/Abstract: Valentinas Algirdas Kaliūnas was born in 1939 in Varėna. From 1945 till 1960 he lived in exile. Returning to Lithuania he studied music, stage direction and pedagogy of art. Kaliūnas painted and took pictures of beautiful Lithuanian landscapes. His works were exhibited in Lithuania, Poland and Italy. Since 1998 Kaliūnas has been a member of the Lithuanian Photographer Association.
