THE EXISTENCE OF TERRORIST GROUPS, MAINLY IN THE AFGHAN SPACE

Summary/Abstract: The current global security situation is being negatively influenced by the existence and the continuous emergence of extremist and radical organisations, especially inside the Islamic world, which creates gaps in the society stability, constitutes a threat for the international actors, and, last but not least, leads to a reign of fear and confusion.These terrorist groups are in a permanent transformation, caused by distinct reciprocal relations, which may be defined by tolerance, cohesion, coalitions, stealing each other’s fighters, conflict or elimination. Hence, in order to survive and weaken their enemy, some insurgent groups resort to the strategy of stealing the members of other opponent groups by offering them higher sums of money in comparison to what they had before.
