Summary/Abstract: Shale gas is an unconventional energy resource which could change dramatically the global equation on energy security. Shale gas is currently exploited within the United States but has to encounter a lot of legal and environmental barriers in Europe.In this paper, I explained what shale gas is and what kind of ecology-related problems it generates.
