Summary/Abstract: On August 17, 2009, passed away notorious historian of Lithuanian philosophy Romanas Pleèkaitis, habilitated doctor of humanities, corresponding member of the Lithuanian Academy of Science, professor of Vilnius University, member of the editorial staff of Logos magazine. Lithuanian intellectual community lost its leading expert on the history of Lithuanian as well as Western philosophy. Pleèkaitis left the numerous groups of his disciples and several unfinished works.
