Summary/Abstract: The present work introduces the Streamlined System for the Romanization of Russian Cyrillic, and compares it with some of the existing transliteration standards. This paper draws from the experience gained with the development and implementation of the Streamlined System for the Romanization of Bulgarian Cyrillic, which is now official for Bulgaria, the UN, the USA and the UK.
