Summary/Abstract: A strong incentive in developing research regarding the characteristic features of hybrid warfare was represented by the conflict in Ukraine. The territorial integrity of this state, recognized according to international agreements, was affected by the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation as well as by the military and nonmilitary actions conducted by secessionist groups in Doneţk and Lugansk self-proclaimed popular republics, with discreet support from Moscow rendered as military, diplomatic,economic, and humanitarian assistance.
