RESOURCES OF DRINKING WATER WATER MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY IN PRUT-DNIESTER RIVER BASIN

Summary/Abstract: My goal when writing this article was to outline the physical-chemical properties of water, the vitality and birth of life connected with water. I took into consideration the water reserves on our planet and concentrated especially on the Prut-Dniester river basin. The other aspects covered were the population demographic numbers and the significance of water in under developed countries; the importance of subterraneous waters for the Romanian countries – deep probes and wells and especially within ground-water elevation; the concerns of geologists and environment specialists with respect to polluting subterraneous waters with compounds of nitrogen – nitrates and nitrites – harmful to the population.
