Summary/Abstract: The article describes the basic methodological issues of the e-learning and their function in the preparation of the online library training forUniversity of Łódź students. Supported with the results of the training evaluation survey, the students’ attitude to the course and their own skills assessmentof the library service knowledge was characterized. In conclusion, the demands for adjustments of the training to the needs of the academic youths have been made.
