Summary/Abstract: The article states the important role played by the documentary services and products, in general and mainly during the complex educational process in the Romanian universities. The four central university libraries in the national library network are presented, emphasizing the possibility to search and retrieve information,through their electronic catalogues. The survey is based on the data from 2011, but which, generally, are still valid today
