Summary/Abstract: The article presents the linguistic abilities of an intellectually disabled man in defining the seasons of the year. The principal goal was to reconstruct, on the basis of the subject’s utterances, such concepts as spring, summer, autumn and winter, which assumed the form of cognitive definition. In view of the fact that the subject used commonsense knowledge and used the colloquial language, I tried to show that the produced conceptualizations were constructed in accordance with the principle of prototype, stereotype, and collection.
