Summary/Abstract: Polish politics at the beginning of the twenty-first century: In a broader sense, the PiS movement is a nationalistconservative project guided by a vision of a society united around patriotic values. The total delegimitization of the concept of liberalism – and the world “liberal” both as noun and as adjective – in Polish political discourse arises from its association with economic liberalism and the "shock therapy” of the early 1990s.
