Summary/Abstract: Ethics is a part of axiology, which in turn is one of the three branches of philosophy. It occupies an important place in every developed civilization. Ethics are generally defined as the philosophy of morality. Nevertheless, such a general explanation does not speak much to us, so it is worth mentioning the definition used by a world-renowned ethical researcher, who was devoted to the book I reviewed: "Ethics is a philosophical science that formulates general moral principles and detailed norms of human behavior through innate a person's cognitive ability "(Ślipko 2004, 35). One of its types is Christian ethics, which - according to Feliks Koneczny - is the foundation of Latin civilization, which also belongs to Poland. It would be a truism to say that there is no state without law, but there may be a law without state. It should be noted, however, that any legal regulation established by the competent authorities is often the direct result of the culture in which a given society is located. Ethics in a given country is not an individual matter of a given individual and an essential component of the functioning of the entire society residing in a particular territory.
