Noun Declension Types in the Eastern Aukštaitian Subdialect of Northern Panevėžiškiai and the Tendencies of Their Change

Summary/Abstract: The noun declension system of the Eastern Aukštaitian Subdialect of Northern Panevėžiškiai has not been thoroughly studied. Generally speaking, there are no comprehensive studies addressing the morphology of this subdialect. The analysis and description of the interaction of stems in the Eastern Aukštaitian Subdialect of Northern Panevėžiškiai, its types and conditions resort to the Natural Morphology research methods. Nouns are analysed using the synchronic method first proposed by Girdenis and Rosinas in 1977. The hierarchical clustering of inflectional classes of the Northern Panevėžiškiai Subdialect was performed and noun declension types were determined using the maximum method.
