Summary/Abstract: Poverty is a phenomenon while some countries feel in depth, some countries feel little but each country definitely has somehow. It is a requirement of the social state that to protect their citizen, to increase their socio-economic conditions at the level of prosper. The aim of this study is to draw attention to the rural poverty and to emphasize the importance of the poverty reduction effect of the rural development policies. For this purpose, the Southeast Anatolian Project was discussed and our result has resulted there is a positive impact of rural development on poverty.
