Summary/Abstract: Except marines, settled in military campuses, the defense industries and armies all around the world employ an important number of non-military staff responsible for the logistic, informatics, communication, new technologies issues and other. People working for the military industry, when being on business trip, use the typical tourism infrastructure. The military activity fits than into business tourism, considered as the most profitable for receptive destinations. The NATO Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Bydgoszcz (a topic of the paper above) can serve as an example. The aim of the paper is the analysis of impact of trainings organized by JFTC on tourism industry in Bydgoszcz. The article is based on statistics published by JFTC and Bydgoszcz Convention Center, as well as on own field studies: questionnaire interviews with training participants, concerning the amount and structure of their expenses, and the finance analysis of an example 4 star hotel accommodating the JFTC trainees. The results shows that the impact of JFTC trainings is of high importance for the whole Bydgoszcz tourism sector. Moreover for some actors can be even considered as the key one.
