Transport policy of Słupsk and Ustka in the context of the concept of the Duo-city

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the problem of implementation of the transport policy of Słupsk and Ustka in the light ofthe assumptions of the agreement on the Duo-city. It was signed by the local government of both cities in 2003. One of theprovisions of the agreement is conducting a common transport policy and improving of communication. Apart to presentingthe current transport situation, an analysis of selected strategic documents concerning the development of the two citieshas been carried out in terms of projects and investments related to the transport policy of Duo-city. In addition, conceptsconcerning transport development perspectives in the Pomeranian Voivodship and in the country, which may undoubtedly affect the transport situation in Słupsk and Ustka, were also presented. Finally, an attempt was made to identify the most important projects undertaken in this area in both cities for the twelve years of Duo-city operation, as well as those key investments that are still awaiting implementation.
