Summary/Abstract: The hereby study reveals the brilliant activity of one of the memorableOrthodox Episcopacy in the history of Basarabia Church, that of Hotin. ThisEpiscopacy in not important only by its historical existence over centuries andby the fact that it is situated on a border between two peoples and twocontinents, but it is important also due to the existence of Hotin fortress, whichit has a historical and cultural importance over the centuries. Besides itshistorical wealth, the Hotin Episcopacy has also people with a lot of goodqualities as love for the saint places and their care. This God loving people isone that, by its living, has maintained the flame of God’s belief over theterritory of this episcopacy.
