Summary/Abstract: The Orthodox Church is a church of ministration by excellence, both ofGod and of people, the ministration being its inner expression within therelationship with the world and the society. Nevertheless, the new challenges ofour time and the mentality of the present societies impose to the OrthodoxChurch the most attentive research of social issues occurred within the currentcontext and taking a strong stand towards the world’s issues, generally, byformulating a philanthropic doctrine as much adequate as possible.Our time is a period of the lack of communion between people, thusresulting all dissensions, conflicts, ignes fatui, religious syncretism etc. thehereby study proposes to concisely present the scriptural fundamentals ofphilanthropy, as it is plenary described and understood within the pages ofcanonical books of the Holy Writ. These scripturally revealed arguments areonly introducing us into the essence of authentic life, based on the communionopening and love to every man plenary manifested within the acts of Christianlove.
