Summary/Abstract: Vitiligo, one of the best known, but actually unknown, dermatological diseases was concurrently seen as stigma and divine sign in times of old. As time went by, however, knowledge of and insight into its symptoms and signs have changed for better or for worse – this can be seen in the progress itself of the arts.
