Summary/Abstract: On May 15, 2017 in the hospitable walls of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, a scientific conference devoted to life and scientific work of the founder of modern forensic medicine, prof. Leon Wachholz (1867-1942). The opening of the conference was preceded by the official laying of flowers and lighting candles on the family grave of L. Wachholtz, who is at the Rakowicki Cemetery in Krakow.
