Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the application of the rules of private international law in the legal practice of the Republic of Singapore; the place of the rules of private international law in the legal system of Singapore and its impact on law enforcement practices. The features of the Singapore legal system demonstrate a successful combination of regulatory and legal elements of common law and continental legal family. The author suggests analyzing the features of ruling of problems related to the choice of location of the forum, and the choice of applicable law in the jurisprudence of the Singapore.
