Folk universities - between old and new challenges - a review

Summary/Abstract: The reviewed publication is a valuable item devoted to the issue of folk universities. Universities of this type were and are an opportunity for residents of distant urban environments, so it is worth popularizing the organizational and methodological assumptions of such universities, if only for the continuation of this useful mission to implement the best solutions for the socio-educational practice of their towns. In searching for innovative forms it is good to turn to proven patterns.
