Summary/Abstract: This paper is the result of the work on Lexical Minimum of Russian Language for bachelors of Russian philology within the context of Task-Based Language Teaching. The text provides a definition of the lexical minimum, an overview of the existing minima, compares proficiency testing systems: CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and TORFL (Testing of Russian as a Foreign Language), presents the main principles of the method Task Based Language Teaching. The main part of the paper is devoted to the presentation of the principles of selection and organization of language material included in the proposed Lexical Minimum.
