Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on the role and importance of Prague in the education of young elite from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the last quarter of the 17th century. Its aim is to outline the place this city occupied in the itineraries of educational travels, the grand tour. The author follows a select group of young polish noblemen and magnates, who studied in Prague, studied at Jesuit colleges, attended lectures at the university, and took private lessons. Based on preserved sources, especially diaries and correspondence, the study provides information concerning the education of young noblemen and follows their stay and everyday life in Prague.
